Comments on the difference between the conduct of the executors of Mr. and Mrs. Garrick and talks of the influence of Mr. Wallis over Garrick's drafting of his will. Refers to the story of Garrick's gift of the buckles he wore in Don Felix and quotes Mrs. Barbauld's distich on the subject ("Thy buckles, o Garrick, thy friends may now use / But no mortal hereafter shall stand in thy shoes.")
